Our Founder
Hi! I’m Kether Mayen, a long-time Candler Park resident and the founder of Horizons Kids, a joyful after-school program and day camp in the heart of the historic Inman Park neighborhood.
While teaching in physics lecture halls and leading youth summer programs, I became passionate about creating an enriching after-school program in our Candler Park/Inman Park neighborhood cluster—and so, Horizons Kids was born!
For nearly 20 years, we’ve welcomed local kiddos into our playful, creative world. Many of our kids who spent their early years with us are now part of our team, guiding the next generation as they head into college and beyond. It’s truly become One Big Play Date—a vibrant community filled with creativity, heart, and lots of laughter.
