Our Founder
Hi! I’m Kether Mayen, a long-time Candler Park resident and the founder of Horizons Kids. While teaching physics, I saw a real need for an enriching, joyful after-school program right here in our Candler Park/Inman Park neighborhood cluster—and so, Horizons Kids was born!
For nearly 20 years, we’ve welcomed local kiddos into our playful, creative world. Many of our kids who spent their early years with us are now part of our team, guiding the next generation as they head into college and beyond. It’s truly become One Big Play Date—a vibrant community filled with creativity, heart, and lots of laughter.
